Woman dies when truck falls into quarry

A woman has died after the truck she was driving fell into a quarry at Nyora, in South Gippsland on Tuesday.

 

It is understood the woman, 30, was operating a dump truck at the top of the quarry near the edge when the incident occurred. The woman died at the scene.

WorkSafe is investigating.

The tragedy is the fifth workplace fatality this year.
